Vitamin supplements for diabetics
U.S. researchers reported that taking vitamin supplements is an important barrier that protects diabetics from infections. A study of 130 people by the Faculty of Medicine, North Carolina noted that the daily consumption of vitamins reduced minor infections of the urinary system, respiratory and gastrointestinal persons 45 years or more.

The results of the study, published today by the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, reveal that vitamin supplements are a way to reduce absenteeism caused by infectious diseases.
Diabetes patients who ate vitamin concentrates showed no absenteeism, while 89 percent of those given a placebo were absent one or more days of work.
“Our test was conducted among people of middle age, has shown a benefit in the incidence of infection. This benefit amounted to almost all participants with diabetes,” researchers said in the study.
They added that it is possible that vitamin supplements are most helpful for diabetics because they suffer from a lack of nutrients in your system.
