Garlic has always been considered within those foods that provide benefits for both cholesterol level and hypertension. Is that their effect on the blood, through various active ingredients in it, is positive for these purposes.

The substances involved in blood and which would be directly affected blood pressure levels and cholesterol are allicin (hypotensive capabilities), the ajocisteína (anticoagulant) and allyl mercaptan (cholesterol-lowering and antihypertensive), among others.

This is how, through studies and medical foundations in several countries have suggested that garlic can be safely included every day to control cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular risk factors. (more…)

Treatment of influenza with long pepper

The use of long pepper was one of the most effective solution for the treatment of influenza. Half a teaspoon of powdered long pepper, mixed with two tablespoons of honey and half teaspoon of ginger juice should be consumed three times a day. This would be very helpful if taken in the early stages of disease. This is especially useful to avoid complications that followed the onset of the disease, namely the involvement of the larynx and bronchial tubes.
