The oncologist David Servan Schreiber already alerted us in his book Anticancer on the relationship between cancer cells and foods with high glycemic index (white flour, white rice, pastries, soft drinks, desserts).
A study by the Swedish Institute awarding the Nobel Prize for Medicine (Karolinska) reveals that the risk of developing breast cancer (but also colon) increases with eating “sweet” (slow or fast sugars) and probably other cancers as well.
To limit risk, and does not raise blood glucose and insulin in the blood, the oncologist recommends eating mostly whole grains and combined them (the fibers are our friends, they can reduce peak blood glucose and insulin, and also eliminates toxins.
A set menu daily on our plates:
* Bread “Multi-Grain (with at least four different cereals)
* Pasta complete (or if they are white and eat absolutely cooked al dente)
* From the rice (or basmati or Thai if you can not switch from white rice), couscous Complete
* From quinoa (the cereal that comes from the Incas and nicely replaces the rice while providing more protein)
* From buckwheat, rye, oats, flax flour
* Garlic, onions, shallots that reduce the glycemic load of meals eaten
* Green tea, or water flavored with a little lemon, mint, orange peel or tangerine (organic!)
* Desserts Fruit (organic) dark chocolate (over 70% cocoa), sweetened with agave syrup.
