There are no known methods to avoid this condition, but it’s important for people over 40 have your eyes examined regularly, controlling intraocular pressure, since treatment in the early stages can prevent visual field loss. It is impossible to recover the damaged vision if left untreated the disease at an early stage. People with a family history of glaucoma (especially parents and siblings) should be vigilant, but anyone over 40 years should undergo periodic review.
Angle closure glaucoma acute
The acute attack with pain and reduced vision may be preceded by similar attacks less severe. There may be a history of halos seen around lights, especially in the afternoon, they cease to be after a night’s rest. People with these symptoms should seek medical advice.
