For better and for worse, marijuana has been linked to cancer several years ago. On the one hand they have been investigating the benefits in reducing the side effects of cancer treatment and other, long-term use is often associated with the development of testicular cancer.

Less sugar to reduce the risk of breast cancer

The oncologist David Servan Schreiber already alerted us in his book Anticancer on the relationship between cancer cells and foods with high glycemic index (white flour, white rice, pastries, soft drinks, desserts).

A study by the Swedish Institute awarding the Nobel Prize for Medicine (Karolinska) reveals that the risk of developing breast cancer (but also colon) increases with eating “sweet” (slow or fast sugars) and probably other cancers as well.

To limit risk, and does not raise blood glucose and insulin in the blood, the oncologist recommends eating mostly whole grains and combined them (the fibers are our friends, they can reduce peak blood glucose and insulin, and also eliminates toxins. (more…)
