Your doctor will ask about family history, medical history, and child development and examine for possible physical causes that could be difficult to read, such as vision and hearing problems. The doctor will look for signs of other problems that could be causing your child’s reading difficulties.
Some problems may include: disturbances of coordination, hyperactivity disorder and attention deficit, depression, anxiety and thyroid disorders. If no physical causes are identified, the doctor may refer you to his son learning specialist for evaluation. Read the rest of this entry »
